Very informative, there was a lot that I never heard before. Like the plate on the front of a helmet is called its registration, or that $20 knife was worth $180. Lucky for me that shop is kind of local. ](*,)
 
So all of my helmets are actually "hats"?  I did not know that.

And even if it has been dug out of a ditch, as long as it has a liner, it's "rare and valuable"? Awesome!

And here I have been wasting the last 40 years collecting by Wappen and configuration, when it turns out that "Different branches do not change value".

Boy do I feel dumb.

It also had one of those lead castings for the " registration " on the front and not stamped !!

A couple of years ago in a local Army-Navy store they had about 6 of them for $35 .

$400 what a bargain.

And with liner oh my !!!
