Writing in Deutsch

I have noticed that some forum members are able to write in German text when posting to this forum; Sset, a umlaut, o umlaut, etc. How do you do that?

You can copy and paste, or use a keyboard on a PC.

Hold the ALT key, and on the number pad on the right of the keyboard, hit these numbers.

0223 ß
0252 ü
0220 Ü
0246 ä
0228 ö

Thanks Tony, It would not work on my computer, but I did not know you had to do it on the 10 key so I always copied and pasted when I switched back to an English keyboard.

Try this for an umlaut, Hold the alt (option) key down while you press the U, then type the letter you want.
