Another pair in the original carton .
Wurttemberg Infantry Regt 124 Major
This officer was no longer on active duty
He is retired from the regiment but as I understand it
still "on call " if needed
I have never been sure of which German term to use
a.D or z. D ?
Please correct me
When the officer is no longer on active duty
there are 2 changes in the epaulettes
# 1 the silver tape or tressa that carry the Wurttemberg colors
have an extra color line in the tressa
# 2 the metal crescents which when the officer is on active duty
in the case of I R 124 would be a guilt / gold color
When the officer retires the metal crescents are changed over
to a silver color
I have fond this to be true on other examples that I have
