Busby hat cover

HI,

was the busby hat cover tan with the red stripe used for war games and/or foul weather? Are these covers hard to find? I tried to find some on the internet but couldn't find any. What would they go for? Any help would be appreciated.

I can't speak for the Busby, but the Pickelhaube cover like that was used for maneuvers. I have both an artillery and infantry style, which I purchased in the 1980's. Back then they were $50 to $75. Now, I'd imagine they're much more than that and a Hussar cover would be even more due to rarity ($400 or more?????? ). Maybe somebody who knows more about them can tell you exactly.

Going to hard to find and pricy!

Weitze has one on his website, I am not sure if it is good or not??
