Pre-WW1 Photograph

Hello Pickelhaubes.com members, I've acquired my second piece of German Militaria before WW2. Some sort of photograph depicting 4 soldiers in black coats?
There is nothing on the rear side of the photo. (No date, regimental info, etc) And I was weirded out because I've never seen this greatcoat before.

If someone could help me identify anything, that'd be greatly appreciated.

I would say its some sort of 1894 Greatcoat, but I'm not sure.

I think you are right. It looks like M1894 pre war overcoat. I will confirm that after work.

Other thing is that sometimes the light is very irregular on old photos. Items that we think we know which colour they are might looks differ due to reflection, exposure time. However I think you are correct with your initial guess
