Schirmmützen – Saxon Karabiner-Regiment

Jeff R

Well-known member
Officer (left) and EM caps of the mighty Königlich Sächsisches Karabiner-Regiment (2.Schweres Regiment), one of my favorites. The officer has a black velvet band and the non-serrated cockades peculiar to the Saxon regiments. The EM has a beautiful maker mark inside from a vendor in Borna, the garrison town of the regiment.

And a nice image of a very dapper enlisted Karabiner wearing a similar cap.
