I can't remember if I posted my I R 92 Veterans flag
which I purchased some years ago from Der Rittmeister
on the pole with plaques

Some years ago I had a visit from Ken & his wife of Der Rittmeister
He noted that I liked I R 92
someone sent the flag to him on consignment
He offered it to me and I bought it
It's on the original pole with many plaques applied to the pole
some have Totenkopf on them
No pole top
A day or 2 ago a friend sent out a photo from the 3rd Reich period
Pole tops were being removed form the veteran's flags
to be use as scrap metal for the war effort

How desperate for metal to stage this photo! Desecrating Historic pieces to further their war effort which was fortunately destined to fail.

At least they did not scrap the pole tops of the regimental flags of pre WW1
