Krieg Erinnerungen 1914-15

The question is not so simple and definitive.
Troop's eagles are, as Steve said, much smaller in size. This is an indisputable fact.
For officer's eagles, things get complicated.
I have been able to compare various tshaska eagles, and very often they are slightly undersized, but not always, compared to the infantry or artillery ones.
Surely the vertical feathers, as said by Tony, are the irrefutable element that it is a cavalry trophy.
But the measures in height that I have detected range from 105 to 115 mm and in some cases 120mm.
I believe this is due to the officers purchasing privately made headgear with non-strictly standardized features.
In the end, however, there is only one element that can give the certainty that it is a Uhlan eagle ..........
Do you know which one it is?

"I no longer have a Volkswagen" , said the man with the Rolls Royce.
Congratulations on the Uhlan review you posted. One more beautiful than the other.
I would be interested in the U.R. 7. Do you have other photos?

Stunning pieces, Steve. Both are in mint condition.
Two magnificent pieces that make a collectionU R 13.JPG on their own.
Zeb ;
Thank you
Over the years there has always been conversations about what type of
wide winged eagle goes on the U R 7 helmet .
Is the sword handle / hilt straight or curved ?
What is at the end of the scepter ?
The same questions for D R 3 / G R z P R 3 plates
and KIR 145
Maybe I forget a regiment ?
I will post my D R 3 later under dragoons
Here is my other U R 13 with metal top

The hen's teeth !
So I have always wondered how to tell ( not asking about yours , just my question in general )
If the pick & axe are the real deal . I know this has been copied a lot
so I always have stayed away from this helmet .
When time allows would you please show us ( me ) a shot of the back side of the plate ?
Many thanks
Steve
