Please do not take it down .Do not give in to the P C group .There is nothing wrong with the song.I am a life member of Sons of Confederate Veterans as my Great Grand father was a member of the 7th Tenn. Cavalry CSA .I joined to honor him and keep his memory alive , nothing else .Yes it is from the movie Dixie. Now you have me thinking about it - it may be time to take it down - didn't really think about the racial aspect when I put it up. The record player is actually a jukebox. Is a 1938 Mills Zephyr. Hold twelve 78s. My wife is a huge Bing Crosby fan. The other sheet music is Only Forever and you can also see the Life Magazine cover with Bing and that is also a Bing record. There is a bunch more framed sheet music on the walls going down to the recroom.
There was a South and it is history .
it is great that you have that Jukebox .I still have some 78 RPM records .I doubt that younger people even know what they are .I also own a boxed set of Bing Crosby 45 RPM records .
Thanks
Steve
