@Oldenburg , do you still live in Oldenburg? I have been looking for years for an Oldenburg M15, I had the chance to buy one about 7 years ago, but unfortunately didn't buy it. I really should have though, in all the years after that one I could have bought I never saw one again for sale..

Oddenburg is my favorite "Land" because in August 1870, the Grand Duke had requisitioned the farm located next to my house, and his General Staff, my own residence. (Battle of Gravelotte-Saint-Privat).
Infra my participation: my DR19 is nominative, in the name of an 0ffizierstellvertreter. It is a "Fähnrich" helmet, troop base point, but with officer's perlring, eagle with openwork crown but "troop" type star , no star but officer cockades etc...

I have the DR19 officer in my collection which I use as my avatar here. I will post some photos shortly for further comparison. Unfortunately, my spike is silver plated and is turning black with oxidation. I carefully cleaned the fittings decades ago when I bought the helmet but have not and will not clean further. It’s great to see these DR 19 helmets in member’s collections. At least now, they are being taken care of.

25 years ago I bought an M/15 helmet from the DR 19 at a German auction and stupidly exchanged it 15 years ago. Currently none is visible…
If one comes up, I`ll think of you!
