  • Hi Wojtek: I hope you are enjoying a nice summer in Poland. I am sending you a photo of a Prussian officer helmet that I am working on. As you can see, it has a large dent in the helmet shell. I have always found these very difficult to fix. How do you correct this? Thank you for your help. Regards, Brian

The fastest way to do it is this way: gently soak the dent area and push it out with your fingers, heating it with a hair dryer or heater. The second way is to gently soak the dent area and push it out with your fingers and grease the area on the outside with clear skin glue to strengthen the structure. Then just hold it in your fingers in the sun until it dries.Good luck and best regards.
