Prussian M95 OR Grenadier 3rd regiment helmet dated 1909 and well marked

I am not so sure, that we really have here a Grenadier helmet from the Grenadier Regiment 3 / Königsberg
Because of the BAG stamp, the first cancelled II GR stamp (2. Garde Regiment zu Fuß / Berlin), then the second also cancelled stamp 2 GRR (2. Garde Reserve Regiment / Berlin), I rather think here that the GR3 stamp is for the 3. Garde Regiment zu Fuß / Berlin...So this helmet should wear the garde Wappen. Helmets were kept in their own Bekleidungsämter during piece time...But this are only my two cents...

Its a beauty, Grenadier or Garde, I’m still confused most of the time. It is in amazing condition, inside and out! Thanks for sharing with us, and congratulations!
Best regards

So GR3 is Garde not Grenadier? What would Grenadier Regt 3 stamp be?

Phillippe- I see your point, but I am still not sure. the wappen has been on this helmet for a long time as it is indented into shell.

Garde eagle and wide Grenadier eagle have the same size. But as I wrote, these are just my two cents.

Weren't Roman numerals taken only for battalions or eskadrons? I have never seen a stamp of the regimental number with Roman numerals.

Take a look at this one from Weitze.
Here you have a Garde helmet again, marked BAG 1903... With the typical roman number stamp of the same 2. Garde Regiment zu Fuß (II.GR) and FB (Füsilier Bataillon = IIIB).
Nothing to do with the GR7 just because of this scarce Grenadier Wappen mounted on a original Garde Helmet😔 HW is offering this item for a long time now...Not surprising that he still has it in his possession...
