Just got this piece this morning! M1910 officer visor for the Braunschweig 92nd infantry!

It took me over 15 years to find a M17 marked...
Never seen a second one yet

There are period photos of Brunswick officers without transitions badge.

Here’s mine. Id take more photos but it’s behind several uniforms at the moment. I will have to part with a few tunics one day because my wife wont let me annex one of the bedrooms.

Here’s one I traded to a fellow who needed it much more than I because he has the Attila… Plus, it was before I learned that cavalry officers often wore dress color visor caps with their field gray tunics…

That is indeed correct.
Cavalry officers often wore their "Bunte" Schirmmütze on their feldgrau uniform.
There are also examples of these Schirmmützen with a feldgraue peak...I got one of those from 1.LH...

Really? Brass and Tombak Braunschweig Totenkopf are not uncommon. Come some reason (?) these seem to be the ones that lose the silver wash the most.
