A well worn Belgian M15 Adrian.

Today a Belgian Adrian helmet came to accompany my French Chasseur Adrian, and his German buddy's.
Not in a perfect condition, the helmet sure shows it's age, and saw some action I presume.

I like it a lot! A worthy friend to accompany the French Chasseur M15 I still have, I got that one from Jaap, who passed away too soon.

Regards, Coert.

Thanks friends! I really was only after the Yser cross, also pictured in some pics, but then I learned the seller also had the Belgian adrian for sale, so we struck a deal for them both. Bought them for a nice price too! The seller also has a nice collection, and we started talking about mutual interests,
like collectors do, also here on the forum.
So I'm a happy guy now! The belgian medal collection has a nice update, as I collect medals too, and so has the helmet collection.

Regards, Coert.

Great helmet Coert. The best helmets are those that show a bit of character! I’ve personally never cared much about acquiring mint steel helmets.

Very nice helmet, I'm constantly trying to remain focused, but it doesn't make it easy when fellow member post such cool Belgium, French and Italian items.

So far, I've only kept items that came in veteran's groupings like a few Helmets, bayonets and picture post cards.

Same here. I've only kept items that came in veteran groupings. So far I have not branched out into collecting cool looking Belgium, French, and Italian items

Sounds like we have a lot in common.

I recently picked up a cool grouping from two brothers one fought for Germany and one for the US it has all their correspondence/ post cards sent to their aunt which also had a few French, German and US items.

Really interesting the German soldier served in a unit with the youngest German soldier of the war and came with the official postcard on the boy and a few personal pictures of the boy with the unit. Really unbelievably cool. (y)

WWI really was like a mini civil war / Bruderkrieg where with so many US soldiers being of German blood.
