Have you noticed the difference in writing of the 7 on the headband of the Rgt.9 grenadier eagle. Wappen behind or before 1913 13th, the différence is the same
do you have an explanation. Thanks un advance????

photo on the left , to me appears to be the correct banner for G R 9
It would help a lot to see full view photos of both helmets
the G R 9 should have the ribbon continue to flow to the bottom of the plate.

The photo on the right appears to me to have the Colberg 1807 banner
for the Garde Fuss Artillery officer Garde Fuss Artillery officer.jpegor a banner from the old style FWR helmet plate
again a full view of the helmet would show more .

Many thanks
I really like the Grenadiers .Back years ago the helmets seem
to show up much more often than than they do now .
Or should I say maybe , not .Many helmets show up now
at auction or on the sites like Weitze .
Back then it was mostly networking via other collectors
and prices were a lot less. I filled in some of my Grenadier
helmet wants when a collector friend sold his Infantry collection

Very nice
I am not seeing the ribbon continue on the wide winged eagle
the old style FWR Colberg plate looks correct
so to me the " 7 " on the wide winged eagle looks like the banner
that is for the Garde Fuss Artillery
like shown on mine
Steve

Artillery OK Now this a other model so different with FR
IMO this is a put together helmet . The front plate with " FR " on the eagles chest
and the Colberg Banner is the plate of Field Artillery Regt 26 or FAR 35
the spike is not correct for this helmet
and it is not a G R 9 helmet
