WW1 Regimental Flags - Identification

Hi,

Once again, I'm asking for your help to identify WW1 German regimental flags. Is it possible to know at what units these flags and sodiers belonged too?
Very nice photo
This is a Prussian Line Infantry Regiment
with B & W it's hard to tell, but the flags look white
so they could be one of many units
I think that they do have 1870 Iron Cross pole tops
we would need to see details of their shoulder straps
to I D the unit

This photo was not taken before 1918 If we consider that they all wear a VWA, which was given to the troops in late March 1918.

Hi,
the officer wears between the EK1 and the silver wounded badge probably from Oldenburg (X. Armeekorps) the
Friedrich August Cross 1st class (!?): https://www.ehrenzeichen-orden.de/deutsche-staaten/friedrich-august-kreuz-1-klasse-1914.html

Are there any hints on the back of the picture (written, stamp/seal, photo studio with city name, ...)?
Anyway, a great picture! ; ) Best regards, Jens
Hello Jens,

Thanks for your comment.

Yes. This Leutnant wears the Friedrich-August Cross 1st Class (Friedrich August Kreuz 1.Klasse 1914).

Unfortunately, the back of the photo is blank.

Best,

Richard

So the officer is escorting these flag bearers....now I understand. :) I just thought it strange that a Dragoner officer is pictured with infantry flag bearers.

Indeed, everything is explained. Mystery solved.

Thanks Brian to noticed that this officer was a Dragoon.

I just do not see him as a Dragoon Officer ?
What am I missing? He wears a Prussian Infantry Line eagle on his helmet
not a line Dragoon eagle?
Steve

Sorry, I don't agree
Please tell me what makes him a Dragoon ??
Steve
Hi, I agree with Steve - definitely not a dragoon officer on the picture.
(Brandenburg cuffs - infantry helmet (with round front), etc. ... = infantry officer/lieutenant)
Best regards, Jens
