My latest:
"Bestandskatalog Studiensammlung Rangabzeichen 2003. Wehrgeschichtliches Museum GmbH Rastatt." by Janke and Merta.
Verlag: Eigenverlag, 2003
183 pages.

Was surfing the German online bookstores for more than a week to find the best price. Turned out to be the only one.

Items in this catalogue are marked with a colour dot. Collection JANKE (Green)-Collection MERTA (Blue)-WGM Collection (Yellow)

Although this is luxury bound-leather spine-the book has corrections to the captions. White patched to hide. Additions. A museum working document?

Congratulations looks interesting.(y)

I love that Museum and always look for a reason to head in that direction when in Germany and if I can get close enough, I can usually talk the wife into letting me have another half of a day to enjoy that superb collection. ;)

I don't know this one: ?the same content?
This is a paperback addition.
I have this one.
There was a German lady selling on EBay
who I think might have been selling rare straps
from some of these private collections
She had some rare ones
and I bought a couple from her
but I have not seen her online in a while.
Here a couple of straps that I bought from her.
Commander of the Garde Artillery Regt who was also an adjutant to the Kaiser
Commander of the 1 Garde Dragoon Regt and adjutant to the Kaiser.

You can usually influence that decision by going to Heidelberg. I find that saying we are going to stay there helps...

Sorry for the delay
I now have my copy
Paperback covers ; 36 pages
I see for sure that your 2003 copy is more complete and much thicker ( more pages )
I will contact a German collector to see if he knows of your book.
This collector is planning a book on shoulder straps
My copy don't have the page with the examples of K R 1 & K R 2
Now it seems to me that in the back of my mind, I might have another reference
that has pages like your K R 1 & K R 2
The last pages of my copy shows shoulder straps after WWI
The back cover shows one of the strap blankets.
Over the years, I have known 2 collectors that bought blankets and
then took them apart to add to their strap collection.
Then a few years ago Thomas Appel of Stauffer auction located a strap
blanket that came from the garrison of a Cavalry Regt.
It was made up of M1915 straps
It was taken apart and the straps were offered at auction in pairs
Merta passed away .Some of the straps that have been for sale , might have been his .
I think that Kube sold at auction some of Merta's helmets.
They were on displayPages 20 21 .jpgback cover .jpg at Rastatt before the sale
