I just got offered this Bavarian Generals Uniform & would like to get some opinions on it. Some more "Detail Pics" will follow as soon as the old men can send me some more photos

It gives off a very nice impression.

My first question would be about the collar.

It looks like something has been done. Has it been cut off at one time and latter put back together? It looks like two separate pieces were hand sewn together.

It would all be speculation at this point as to why but there could be several possibilities.

Alright, just have done my Research on this constellation. The Jacket itself is a Prussian Generals Jacket. The Bavarian Shoulderboards are re apllied and are not matching to the Set at all. Also these are all Prussian Buttons.

So unfortunately no Bavarian Generals Tunic for me

I was starting at the death blow first, any opinion, information or thoughts on the collar.

To build an expensive house you first need a strong fondation, the boards, buttons are add-ons.

Whenever there is money involved you definitely have to do your investigation first, not much needed here.

Just to Inform you all this Tunic will show up in an Auction (not sure where it will be seen), declared as Bavarian Generals Tunic. I told him my Infos to the Jacket, but he doesnt realy care so...
