I don’t really use the words contemporary so I don’t really know what you’re talking about there but what my question was just to clarify is that I would’ve liked to know what type of visor cap I could put my circa 20s Danzig skull on? And also if anybody has an original skull laying around for the 92nd infantry regiment, please let me know. Thank you. I spent hours researching the FRIEKORPS battalions and not one of them had the similar skull I was looking for, but I sure did learn a lot and it’s very fun to do so thank you for the gentleman who brought that to my attention
 
The Danziger skull would be appropriate for the two Danzig hussar regiments, Leib-Husaren Regiment Nr.1 or Leib-Husaren-Regiment Königin Viktoria von Preußen Nr.2. It is one of the two general styles of totenkopf these regiments used, which were distinct from the two general variants used by the Braunschweig regiments IR92 or HR17.

I have a veteran's flag from I R 92 that is still on the pole
There are quite a few plaques nailed to the pole from the reunions they attended
Some of them are skulls
The flag came from Der Rittmeister years ago
so, there were many of these used by the veterans groups

That’s great Steve and Jeff yes that seems to be the one website that everybody is referencing. I’m wondering if there’s more out there like maybe Steve’s book has some pictures of all the schools in it would be amazing but I only got to see the first page, lol let me know if there’s any pics in the book. Thanks a lot. Been talking to a lot of people about these totekopfs who are big collectors of picklehaube and they seem to think that a lot of of the schools were used and then got rid of them and then new ones came out and then they got rid of them type of situation so it would be very interesting to seek some kind of a solid reference book with pictures of all of them I could imagine it would be almost impossible to find if it’s even in existence which I doubt

I had to pass on the skull because there were no other references to it that I could find besides replicas which were made out of different material and I had checked all of the FRIEKORPS that someone threw out there on this blog and nothing under the veterans either
