WANTED: My Short but Elusive List...

Cheers...That said Steve I'm not trying to preach just understand what I may or may not have. Every days a learning day.

Hopefully someone may have more detail about the earlier models and enlighten me.

I would love to hear that the meck infantry regiments had convex scales in 1868 as it would enhance my collection as I concentrate on infantry. There is some debate as to whether they started off with clover leaf spike bases before moving too round bases from 1879 onwards.

Cheers 🍻 Tony

I guess that is the reason that I don't have any early helmets
I don't know about them
so it is best for me to stay away

Steve, you know more than any of us !
You definitely should not be staying away. There is so little info on these early ones in English and even fewer examples available for the collector to get hands on experience with.
I have tried to get a representative example of each official helmet change from 1842 onwards......just missing the 1905 trial helmet. That's why the meck one caught my eye....ever hopeful ☺️

Years ago I had an early Prussian Kurassiere enlisted helmet
I now wish that I still owned it
