Dear all,

As part of a forthcoming publication of a major two-volume work on spiked helmets from the period 1895–1915, we are seeking original black-and-white photographs of infantry, artillery, or cavalry soldiers wearing rare helmets — including those with special bands or of types such as Waterloo, Belle-Alliance, and Corlberg — as well as those from uncommon contingents such as Hessian units, the Saxon duchies, Brunswick, or Mecklenburg-Strelitz and Schwerin.

The photographs should be sufficiently clear to allow a detailed view of the helmets. If you wish to contribute to this serious project, published by VERLAG MILITARIA (Vienna, Austria), please contact me to discuss the terms of collaboration. Main contributors will, of course, be acknowledged, thanked, and invited to the grand presentation evening at Fort de la Pompelle (France) in 2026, where they will receive a signed copy of each of the two planned volumes.

Please contact me at: [email protected]
