Kaiser Alexander Garde Grenadier officers miter for the Grenadier Batl

O K
I might do that
Steve
Here are the parade miters for the 1 Garde Regt zu Fuss .
I will start with the enlisted man back when the regiment wore the older miter
before they got the new silver miters and this model was handed down to the
KAGGR#1 less the "Semper Talis " banner
A note of interest , I have never seen an Officers miter in this style
with the Semper Talis Banner. I do not know of one in a private collection
or even on display in a museum. The only photo that I have seen of an
officer wearing one is the young Crown Prince Wilhelm.

Now for the "new " silver front miters
Officer Grenadier Batl
Officer Fusilier Batl
and enlisted man Fusilier Batl ( thank you Tony S. )
photos of the Fusilier Batl officer and enlisted man
and the foul weather cover in case needed

This is the first time since I got in the latest officers miter that
I have 3 in the same photo.
On the left is the new one just in .It is from the Grenadier Batl.
The middle miter is the one that I have owned since the 1970's
It's a Grenadier Batl
The miter on the right is from the Fusilier Batl
Seeing all three together IMO shows that there at least 2 firms that
produced and sold these miters
or
the middle miter is an older one and it is possible that it was
for 1 G R zu Fuss officer
For sure the Garde Star centers and the crowns are different

Here is an officer wearing his parade miter

That's an extraordinary image - and gives you some idea of how well-heeled these guys had to be. Head to toe, that's an incredibly expensive outfit for the era (and for collectors now, of course).
Jeff
Thanks
I have another photo somewhere
I will try and find it
and post it
One of them I bought from Col. J.
at an S O S

Here is one of C P Wilhelm with the Semper Talis banner on his miter
However, this image just shows what the artiest embellished for his miter
I have a better one somewhere

Thank you very much again for this is very nice thread. I‘m a big fan of these fabulous miters! They are the link to the times of Frederic the Great and Prussian glory. I might add a little extra 😀. An original storing case.

Best wishes,

GardeUlan.
