This Pickelhaube (excuse me if it’s not the correct term, I’m not a collector of these pieces) has already been discussed in this forum as a Reichsgendarmerie plume parade type (feel free to say otherwise)

I wanted to maybe restore it but alas I have too many projects! The Wappen is the same type as used in the pith helmets as far as I’m aware.

Picked it up years ago in the US in an old WW1 bag, brought back by an American.

Asking 500€ OBO to whoever would like to save this piece of history! (M

I approve you, Kris, because this matches my own conception of collecting antiques: covet, discuss, think, argue, be patient, and eventually travel to collect the prey. When possible it may be the best part of the game.
I hope you will get the helmet.
