This isn't normally my area of collecting at all. But when I saw the photo, I had to have it. The belt buckle also came from the soldier's estate. Everything else from the estate was auctioned off.

Very very nice. such crispness remains after over 100 years since being printed. Well done. A nice addition to any collection. A lovely boxer rebellion medal would go great with this grouping. Did you have an opportunity to bid or hear what the price was before the decision to auction it off? Kind of sad that the family or the executor decided to split up the grouping.... Oh well, if you were successful in your getting the belt buckle and this photo, you did a good job.

Best Regards,

I bought both. The remaining pieces were shoulder pieces and chevrons. Plus a Boxer's sword.I think the photo wasn't sold because of the price. But what don't we buy when there's nothing else on the market? Or it's way too expensive?Well, then it's just something for decoration.
