Hi David,
Total fake, easiest to recognise are the spike that looks wrong, and the shape and construction of the shell and the liner. If you look at some of the other "other ranks" helmets presented on the forum you will quickly see the difference.
The chinstrap, Wappen and cockades also look wrong, but take a bit more experience to recognise.

Yes, total fake! Note as well David, the large stitches holding both visors on and the brass fittings have been chemically age

It really amazes me how much effort these deceivers/fakers put into trying to rip collectors off, if they put this much effort into a real career they could really do something positive with their lives.

Happy to see a beginner post here for opinions before being ripped off.

Opravdu mě udivuje, kolik úsilí tihle podvodníci/falešníci vynakládají na to, aby oškubali sběratele. Pokud by tolik úsilí vložili do skutečné kariéry, mohli by se svými životy opravdu něco pozitivního udělat.

Jsem rád, že tu vidím příspěvek začátečníka, který si může vyslechnout názory, než se nechá oškubat.

Yes, a modern, complete reproduction. Nothing is authentic. Good for the theater or a reenactment, with a helmet cover on it! ...but buy it for €50 maximum.
You did well to ask BEFORE buying.
