here is a nice complete m15 Prussian Kuirassier metal helmet.

Nice field grey helmet. shell shows some discoloration in some areas. I have NOT cleaned this helmet.

Original wappen held on with one leather tab, 2nd one is missing but loops are there.

Original chinstrap and Original Reich and Prussian kokarden smaller type which we often see on wartime helmets.

chinstrap shows age and some rust but very solid and leather is supple.

Original and correct Kuirassier spike on top!!!!

Nice liner, with just one tab torn, still supple.

dated 1916 and maker marked Lachmann Berlin.

Lachmann models are the only ones with the straighter up and down back visor. Lachmanns are also harder to find.

Great helmet and complete.

This type of helmet from the manufacturer Lachmann are the most beautiful ever made !

Yes, it has a similar shape to the shell and the very vertical neck guard of late officer's helmets. The Lachmann is on the left. He is the only one to have the line infantry eagle.
Kur M15. T54, T58, T60.jpg

This is the actual M15 iron eagle for cuirassiers. In fact, the design is the eagle from November 1860. The Vaterland headband extends to the tips of the wings, the abdominal feathers are V-shaped, but the tail begins at an angle, The end rolls of the banner are larger
unlike the infantry eagle, from Lachmann.M15 type60 Kur à Vitrier18.jpg

On this infantry eagle, in drawing M67/95/15, the abdominal feathers are vertical, the tail begins in a vVv shape, the scrolls are smaller, the Vaterland-Bandeau stops before the edge of the wing, etc. This is the same eagle that Lachmann uses for the KR M15.

Well! Nice helmet! Personally, if I were going to actually wear one of the three Clovis showed, I'd take the middle one. ;) The Lachmann does have a unique shape to the cape. It might even been issued to some Kurassiers to improve posture.

Cheers!

Ron
