Greetings,
I also collect Schiffswappen from the Kaiserliche Marine, Reichsmarine and Kriegsmarine periods. Here are some of the Wappen of Imperial times.

Very interesting topic. Where exactly would these be seen/mounted?
I have seen the larger ones in photos mounted on the stern of Linienschiffe in the Kaiserliche Marine, but these clearly look much smaller.

So these were constructed out of wood, metal and sometimes ceramic. They were produced by some various firms. Most commonly was Gustav Becker who's stamp on the reverse was present. These were purchased at ships canteens, stores, sometimes they were presented as gifts for off going officers or dignitaries. They range in size most are around 12 inches to 24 Inches in lenght and about 7 inches wide up to 12 inches. They make wonderful decorations.
Here is my reverse showing the maker mark here. I have almost 50 in my collection.

Blücher and Schleswig-Holstein.

Now, both of these ships existed in Kaiserliche Marine days as well as Reichsmarine and Kriegsmarine days. I believe these are period Reichsmarine or Kriegsmarine period. Some of the others like the Goeben, Frauenlob and such which only had Kaiserliche Marine examples.
Thanks for looking. Ask any other questions you may have.

There is also several in the Marine Ehremal in Laboe, Schleswig-Holstein.

Here are some others.

So we have Emden, Karlsruhe, Leipzig, Nürnberg, Königsberg, Köln.

Wow! These are incredible! Never knew they made smaller versions of these crests.

You wouldn’t happen to know if the 1916 Karlsruhe had one made for her did she? If so would you happen to have it? She’s my favorite ship in the kaiserliche marine and I’d love to find and add that crest to my collection if it exists.

Yes, Karlsruhe had a crest. I showed my example above in post number 7. It is a more common wappen and I have seen several come for sale over times. Just keep an eye out, I'll keep a look out for you as well.

Ah, I see very nice. Is that the early Karlsruhe or the later Karlsruhe’s crest? Or did they share the same crest?

Those with namesakes like cities and such, used their coat of arms for the city, so Karlsruhe used the wappen of the city. These would be on the very bow or off on the port/starboard bow. If you ever get a chance to visit the Marine Ehrendenkmal in Laboe, there is some incredible wappen as well. Here is a Reddit post from someone posting a wappen from that museum. This particular one has the name S.M.S. Karlsruhe on the wappen itself. Best Regards,
