IR 91

Wonderful trifecta (y), Helmet, Trichter and boards. (y)

Brings back memories of our old friend Steve, GOD rest his soul. when he showed a helmet, he always had the all the bells and whistles.

Great display.

Hello Mike,
It's truly fantastic! 🤩
The condition, etc., is superb. A truly beautiful “Major” from the regiment!
Do we have a provenance here?
Best regards
Frank

hello MIKE H

Magnificent helmet! But I think there is a slight problem: the IR 91 did not wear a *Harbusch* (see Laine, page 60).
-AKO dd August 16th 1913; Black Haarbusch. Red for the musicians.
-Larcade Vol I page 88

hello ,
I just checked Volume 1 of Larcade; sure enough, it shows a white and red Harbusch for the musicians... Could there be a mistake in the Lainé book? What do you think?

(A white Haarbusch? The only white Haarbusch: Flügeladjutanten: As of 1867: white horsehair. As of 1896: replaced by white yakhair)

-Volume 2 of the Verlag Militaria " the German Infantry". Page 560: August 23!!! 1913. The Black Haarbusch. Red for musicians.
