Mini Pickelhaube Inkwell

Found this one at salvation army thrift shop. I'll probably never pay for a real metal tschapka so this is my mini me. Needs a good cleaning and missing some parts but I love how the wappen is thin metal just like the originals.
How big is it? Just curious.

Super cool find! I have never heard of one, or seen one of these Ulan Tschapka style ink wells. Congratulations on finding this one!

Best Wishes,

Alan

Pete, The tiny Tschapka is only about 65mm high. The stamped wappen is held on with a single nut.

Alan, thank you! Now to make mine seem less cool, if you search "tschapka inkwell" there's a post on world militaria forum from someone displaying a Garde Uhlan Tschapka, complete with chin scales and feldzeichen!
Best regards, Geoff

Still very nice and I too think it’s really neat that they took the time to have a separate Wappen.
