I have used Skip for years when I had my SS collection and now for Pickelhaubes. I have some extras if anyone would like some as they do not fit into my display cabinet in my new house. (free of course, just send me a DM).

I doubt this is a veteran painted helmet unless the so called veteran decided to age and tool mark the helmet for that extra added authenticity.

I used to have several "droop-bill" examples in my collection once upon a time. Very interesting pieces. I would go to the forum German Helmet Walhalla for further insight into these unique pieces.

Sadly the visor stitching was omitted in the description of the helmet when I purchased it but Remy as usual was excellent and is looking after the repair and shipping costs. Excited to get it back!

Could be? I bought this off AoK a while back and the threads on the visors are non existent so Brian is re-stitching them for me. But he has a little story to tell about the repair.

Try a tiny bit of water rubbed over the lot number. Back in my stahlhelm collecting days I built a large lot number database over on GHW.

It is an IR93 as KAGGR first stated.

I just got back a day and a half ago, Tony's collection is beyond comprehension and always enjoy seeing it but moreso spending time with my brother from another mother lol. Of course some liver damage was done!

The lot number for these is always inside the top of the dome / skull and @Rkinkade these were only made by ET which should be on the left side IIRC.
