Glenn, this is fantastic!!! I only have one example of one in wear in my collection, taken after the war.

Here is a neat one I recently received, showing 1920s Reichswehr troops in Berlin carrying the old colors of the Imperial era.

I got in this nice set of photos the other day, all from IR117. Note all the Kaiser Shooting Prizes, which seem to have the date 1913.

I got in this very nice RPPC yesterday and figured you all would enjoy it!

You are off to do great things, Dane! And with the new income, I am sure your collection will grow exponentially! If you are going active duty, make sure to check out any militaria shops that may be in your area. I had a great one near St Louis that I miss a lot!

Red rot is the kiss of death on items... Hate to see it! I always think of a Saxon M1915 Pickelhaube I bought when I lived in St Louis. The outside was gorgeous, but the liner was toast. Crumbly, red, falling to pieces.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE photo and helmet!!!
