Thank you @Lars13, I assumed Scheiden meant departed, as in killed. I was able to find a major with that same surname listed KIA. Any idea where I can find more information about this major?, photos etc?

Yes correct @CLOVIS 57, I also managed to source one, from a older Swedish collection, mine needs to be more polished, but I think I plan on keeping the patina on mine.
I would recommend buying from other collectors or via auctions such as Ratisbons or other dealers. I have found luck on ebay but It can be very risky. I am 21 so I am also on the younger side like you. @kaiserburg
Here is a nice early pre massproduction M1916 from Siemens & Halske A.G. in size 60. Hard to imagine that the firm Siemens went from helmets to dishwashers. The helmet seems to have suffered some shrapnel damage.
