Can anybody told me this is a original staff officer?

Is this a original staff officer pickelhaube? Please your opinieonderzoek.

Pay attention to the way the fabric is sewn together.This pickelhaube is incompetently assembled from different positions and from different periods.Colleagues will surely catch errors.Regards

The cloth liner is a reproduction, the star is also probably a reproduction and not correct for an officer wappen. Last the wappen is held on by modern screw posts.

I know it's a sin to ask what it's worth but I paid 1350 for it. is that a good deal?

Sorry we dont ask how much our items are worth, we can only give our own personal opinion about authenticity etc.

welcome to the forum. I would not buy this helmet, because it is what we call a „parts helmet“ (and a bad one). It was assembled from different parts or repro parts and the seller didn't know much about pickelhauben or he didn’t care.
I can only echo what the other forum members told.

De pickelhaube was voor mij gereserveerd ik had al mijn bedenkingen. Op basis van mijn onderbuikgevoel en jullie meningen heb ik besloten om de pickelhaube niet te kopen.

Rem- everyone is correct not a good helmet at all. If you paid $1350.00 for it I would try and return it for a refund, simply not worth even close to that...
