We Knead More Dough, Boys!

Robert, You might try Dave (his forum name) at the US Militaria forum. He was a big collector of Russian Revolution items until about five years ago. He knew quite a bit about these items.

    New Helmet

New Helmet I just received from the SoS. Tschapka to a NCO in the 2nd Bavarian Uhlans. There is a nametag inside the visor, but it is all but gone :( . Stamped to the 2nd Uhlans and date stamped 1906. Really excited about this helmet. [/img]

Did anyone happen to look at the Peltmuze at the show? What did you all think? I have been trying to study up on the Officer's version, and I was curious what was seen. I can see Helmut has one, but I innately dont trust him after seeing some of his visor caps from the III Reich era. I...

New Book: The German Infantry 1871 - 1914

Hey all, I just got the English copy of The German Infantry 1871 - 1914 by Ulrich Herr and Jens Nguyen. It is a two book set that describes everything possible for the Imperial Dunkelblau Infantry. The book has a generic opening, then is broken up by state -- from Prussia to Bavaria to...

AWESOME!! I'm finally learning something about Imperial. I saw this photo, and thought it looked too cheaply made to be a pre 1914 helmet ( with the bad details on the wrappen). I was actually right for once! wOOt!

An outstanding tunic!!! I cant believe the service chevrons. Its ultra rare to find a real Siberian expedition tunic, but one with four stripes is unobtainable. Thank you a ton for showing such a rare tunic. I only with items like this were more appreciated :)

Tony, Some were posted on the WAF -- mostly the same junk the III Reich dealers try to sell every year, but there is one with some nice 'Haubes. The table was not labeled, but I am assuming it was Helmut's (seems like he sets up the same every year). Linkage...
