    I would delete the word silver when you ask about a plate for this helmet I would use the term Feldgrau plate I agree with both coert and clovis look for issue stamps inside the helmet Steve

    I think that a photo would help These are the only 2 Grenadier front plates that I know of for regiments other than G R 1 ; G R 4 ; G R 7 and G R 9 I think that the Feldgrau plate may be a Garde plate without the star ? but the color would be the same Steve
