Joe, Yes, I'm afraid it is! Not being much of a weapons man I didn't even notice the rifle bolts that Brett points out, but I very quickly spotted the reversed 7 and the fact that the jackets were all buttoned up female style. :D

Joe, The negative has been reversed on that last photo. Notice that their coats all button up the wrong way? I believe that's a 7 on the helmet covers and shoulder straps. Also the NCO in the middle is wearing his sword on the right side of his body instead of the left!

That, and the Prussian Garde du Corps parade helmet, are my favorites. I'll never, ever be able to have one, but I love looking at them. Like the nice one sitting on the table beside King Friedrich August III of Saxony!

I meant to look up the coat of arms of the city of Nürnberg and then forgot all about it! I think this strengthen's the possiblity that the helmet is for some type of Nürnberg official.
