    I am afraid I have not gotten anything definitive. The word I got from a friend in Bavaria, is that it is not Reichwehr, as the shield is too large and in the wrong place. And he agreed that it could be the Einwohnerwehr Bayern or a Freikorps helmet. Sorry I couldn't get a more definitive...

    Is this actually on the right side of the helmet? Or is the photo reversed? Or are there a shield on each side? The Reichwehr had the shields in state colors mounted on the left side of the helmet from 1923 -1933. The shields were below the lugs. If this helmet has only a shield on the right...
