Hi Brian, thanks for the input. The crown is peirced, the helmet plate appears to be pressed steel thats gilt washed,as is the bottom portion of spike where the brass pearling is fitted, the top cone of the spike is indeed brass. Im tempted to see if I can have these parts re gilded but then...

Hi Guys, I just added some pics to image shack, not the best as I just came home from workand is dark so all done with a flash. Hard to get decent interior shots without damaging the liner so I hope what you can see is enough??? No extra holes under helmet plate so its good in that respect...
