    Possibly a "spent" bullet indeed, i.e. one at the end of its trajectory. It also may have been a "grazing shot", which is actually quite likely when we look at the particular kind of damage. Either way, Hesi, you have a truly wonderful first helmet here! Good find! What I would do about it...
