Ok so the feature with the distinctive v shape frogs is similar to the EM frogs ....that is something i did not notice before

I've read someware how the procedure works and they even showed it in a film .it looked fairly easy , but my guess is when you start it it will be nerv-wrecking and soon regreting it why begun with it in the first place😅😅 Regards Jonas

Looks very nice and i guess when you tamper it it sounds rock hard as if you knock on a brick ( i got a felt helmet and it stands rocksolid ) by looking at yours it looks as it is the same here 🤣🤣

Will you be doing something about the white enamel in the star .there seems to be a flake missing if i 've seen it correctly Its definitly one that pops into your eyes when looking at it

In close up you can see "dots" that represent those revits to hold the visor on to the body of the helmet , so this picture is a actual evidence of a soldier wearing this rare helmet Regards Jonas

Would not clean it , leave it as it is . it has a great patina on it and if you would clean it , it would not feel right anymore Preserve it don't distroy it 😁😁

If you are refering to the one witch started this topic it is a tombac shell it thus not stick to a magnet

Looking closely to the rim of the helmet i think this one wil be a metal one

This is not a pristine helmet but since the rarety of the materials they used its not so common to find one Its a one piece shell made out of tombac and painted black This is a helmet i bought from my friend karel van bosstraeten long before he passed away Think he would appriciate it...

Not one that whas purchased lateley but one that i have for several years now . Its the only one that thus not fit in my collection cince i collect fieldgrey helmets and others There is something about this sort of helmets that trigger me and i just had to have at least one in my collection

I 'm affraid i will not sell it becose of my family history and the concequences it brought from the war .its as a contribute to my family and therefor will not separate from it and pass it on to my own children
