The small eagle wappen attached to the large eagle usually indicates that the helmet is a Beamten helmet. The thing that confuses me is that usually the small eagle would be in silver or vice versa. I would give you more info but i have all my books packed up getting ready to move.

This helmet looks very very odd. All officer fittings on a obvious EM helmet shell and the shell itself is oddly shaped. You can also see extra holes under the helmet lining. The fittings seem to be a odd mix of gold and silver which is incorrect for this regiment. Although the fittings look to...

Helmet condition is totally a collectors preference, I prefer mine in better condition but everyone collects differently. Just get a couple more pics. If the seller has nothing to hide then he should give you the requested pics that you want.

The "red flag" would be that you only have those two pictures. I would need 5 or 6 more pictures before I thought about buying it. Try and get some more pictures.

I would need a lot more documentation to think that this is the real deal and actually owned by the Kaiser himself. Something like this would make me feel a lot better about it.....

yep, that is(i think) the only picture of one of these, at least in good detail, maybe in a old Kube book possibly but I would need to spend some time looking and I am lazy. :study:

I think you might be talking about the rear vent hole. thats a good "extra" hole to have on this helmet. :thumb up:
