I would need a lot more documentation to think that this is the real deal and actually owned by the Kaiser himself.

Something like this would make me feel a lot better about it.....

The quality and form of the embossed cypher in the busby is just not right. There are a lot of fake Kaiser items around, including headgear and shoulder boards. I have no doubts that Bruce's cap of the Crown Prince is original...
 
The crown above the cypher W in the Pelzmütze is not the imperial crown, Wilhelm II became Kaiser in 1888, so.... He was of course also King of Prussia, but I do not recall having seen ever a cypher of him with a royal crown after the coronation as Kaiser.
