This is a post 1918 Schirmmutze. Possibly a veterans cap, 1930s or 1940s. It looks to me a very nice cap but this isn't WW1 period.

Yes Joe it is, you can kind of see it blurry in that last photo. Awes really really liked to brand their helmets, the name is on the helmet somewhere 4 times.
