This one's from the same seller as the M1915 Inf. Visor but seems much less legit starting with the fuzzy wool... :-k

This is a post 1918 Schirmmutze. Possibly a veterans cap, 1930s or 1940s. It looks to me a very nice cap but this isn't WW1 period.

Hey Chris, what are the giveaways?
The cockades do look WW1 so I guess it's the maker's mark?

Hey Ron

Google image Third Reich Schirmmütze, you will see that almost always they have this "diamond" shaped embroidered makers mark or hallmark in the middle of the inside lining. and the inside side leather lining is perforated in the front forehead part of the cap and that little bow in the back of the inside band although I think it existed in Imperial caps it is more common in post WW1 caps.

This is where my graphic design knowledge kicks in(i am a graphics major), the makers mark is in this cap is designed in a very specific style to what was popular at the time of the 2 world war. The popular heraldic type of pre 1918 time is replaced with a more mechanic type and logo with more rigid corners and sharp accents. see below.....

and for a Schirmmütze reference..
