$6500 was not for an everyday helmet but for a rather special regiment and one in good condition. For a plain jane Württ. AoK has sold for far far less than that and had one from this collection priced and sold for about $1500 if I recall correctly and in fact see them come up for sale often...

I think one reason these are selling so fast is the pricing has been very reasonable if not even well under what dealer prices typically are.

Hey Hans, I believe you are 100% correct with the theory. I’ve not heard or seen anything else that might contradict that. You should try to acquire the 2nd one you posted to see them side by side. It would make a very nice display as well! Fantastic helmet by the way, love it!

Been many times. Did you get to tour the subway? I did tours when you got a much more complete tour of the subways including the unexploded ordnance. The new one is much shorter and not as complete. Fantastic site and holy ground for Canadians.
