    The Bavarian variant of the Prussian KD89. This one was rusted badly at one time and cleaned up. Prussian examples pop up fairly frequently but examples from the other states are hard to find. Still looking for examples from Wurttemberg, Hesse and Mecklenburg.

    The old timers posing together. There may have been some overlap in the service of these pieces. The helmet is marked 3. 35. The front plate of the kurass is marked 3.38 (matching stamps on the liner). Both 3rd squadron and a few numbers away.
