Well gentlemen I managed to get lucky through german ebay and with some help from sandy I was able to get ahold of a pair of correct shoulder boards for this tunic. Once they arrive and are sewn in I'll post an updated photo.

It reminds me of the chromed steel M35, M40 and M42 helmets that were popular with bikers in the 70s. Maybe this is a similar item?

With the amount of spammers popping up lately it seems like it should be implemented if possible.

I used a poor choice of words, I was more referring to there being some way to prevent people from joining, like an admin having to approve someone's account before they can join/ post.

If you are regretting your decision then I would suggest emailing him, he is very fair and I'm sure would give you a refund and change the description once it's relisted. He usually does a good job with his imperial stuff imo. He has some other great examples currently available.

Thats the same helmet, notice the damage to the liner, the same spike base stud that's mismatched, the wear to the chinstrap, also the semper talis scroll. Emedals has had that for sale for a while and has dropped the price at least 2 times since they originally got it in with a large collection...

Griffins militaria does have an outstanding reputation, I'm sure he will take the helmet back and adjust the description accordingly.

If everything else on the helmet is still correct then it still has the potential to be a garde pioneer helmet which I would think we be valued at around 1000 maybe a little less, you'd need to swap that mismatched spike stud as well though.

I do occasionally buy parts like that when I have the extra cash to throw at them but unfortunately did not at the time.
