Hi, acquired these but apart from them being Bavarian and the rank know very little, not even sure they are original. I'm struggling to pin down era, model, wartime or pre war, definite rank and are they even military ? Any help pointing out the bleeding obvious to a novice appreciated 👏...

Not quite the SOS other than you could be forgiven for walking round and issuing a mayday in despair if you are an imperial helmet collector.... One ray of hope was CS militaria who interestingly is also starting up an auction site.....
