It was the patina and the tab that got my attention, yes it certainly does give you that connection, being something that would have been worn daily and also being a central part of essential kit.

Newest purchase. A tabbed and manufacturer stamped belt buckle, not all that exciting but I am just starting to rebuild my Imperial collection after selling all of it back in the 90's.

Thanks guys I appreciate the positive comments. I have been focusing on 3rd Reich stuff for the last few years but have decided to re build my Imperial collection after selling it off many years ago. Still a long way to go compared to some of the amazing collections on this site.

After much searching I managed to find a complete set of size 2 trench armor manufactured by Krupp that still has most of the original paint. The chest plate is field grey while the lower plates are a slightly lighter apple green but all looks factory assembled. Here are a couple of photos.

Was this set sold or is it still available for purchase ?
