Good morning everyone
I found this 1st Kurassier feldgrau for sale, not being an expert I wonder if it is original, in particular the marking seems badly done. The verdict is up to you

regards Rino

I saw this for sale. You need to contact the dealer and ask them to see some pictures of the backside of the wappen eagle plate.

My question was asked because I had never seen a 1st feldgrau cuirassiers, consequently I had a doubt

Not an expert.
But I was told in the past, that when the top of the sword is touching the banner, let the helmet go...
What about this Wappen?

This is just my opinion, but I expect more detail on that plate. The crown looks like it lacks fine detail and even the feathers are pretty bland. Maybe it's a late war production? But the edges near each end of the banner are also questionable too...imo

Doesn’t a member of the forum have one of these? IDK, maybe it was a GdC in field gray

I asked myself a question, in my ignorance on the subject, what use is there in making a copy of something of which few examples exist?I would sell one or two (even at a high price) and then?

My opion and others are free to not to agree but here is what I see:

Very poor quality wappen, coupled with bolts on a feldgrau wappen? If it had been a painted brass wappen you might have an explanation but on a late war M15 wappen you should have loops.

Kammer stamps are usually above the left ear or on the tail. This one is on the right side and I don't like the stamp. See my LKR1 grouping to make your own observations.

I would say that's a very nice shell but not worth 4k since wappen is suspect.

As to your thought as to why would someone make copies of a very hard to find wappen? I can give you 4000 to 8000 reasons why if they can sell 2 of them...
